I have chosen to analyze a pair of Michael Jordan sneakers. This objects main goal is to serve as a basketball shoe. Not only is this supposed to be the most comfortable sneaker play in but it is also supposed to make you play better. Owning a pair of Jordans makes you feel as if Michael Jordan's greatness has rubbed off on you and that all things on the basketball. These shoes are also fairly expensive so having a pair not only indicates that you have expendable cash but also that you are very stylish. Its comfort, color, quality, and value are all crucial elements to aid me in my analysis. Each pair of Jordans is unique in its design, which separates it from other shoes. The shoe essentially sells itself. Michael Jordan is the best ball player to ever step on the court. So simply put, if you want to be best wear his shoes! Whether you are new to sneaker collecting or a more experienced vet like myself, Jordans are always a great choice. Although sneaker collecting is an expensive habit to have it is well worth the money.
Thesis Statement:
Americans are willing to spend excess amounts of money in order to make them feel and look good.

Ryan, although this is a good choice of “text” for analysis, you need to develop your argument more. Consider the following things as you develop and organize your argument. You’ve done a good job showing sentimental reasons for collectors like you or for Jordan’s fans to like these sneakers. You also mention that they are expensive, comfortable and stylish. Now, in the paper, you will need to describe (in detail) the features that prove that these sneakers are not only all of the above, but also a good investment. Also, unless you are talking about a specific pair that once belonged to Jordan, you need to make it clear which particular model of the Jordan line you own and are analyzing in this essay. Then it will be good if you discuss what staple features this model shares with other models from the same line (features that make it worth the money, comfortable, recognizable, etc). And then you can talk about the specific features that are original to this pair. Consider if it is a pair you would wear every day, on special occasions or only while playing basketball. Do all buyers use them as athletic wear or do they have other motives for owning and showing them off?:-)
It's funny to know that a pair of Jordan sneakers can make you play better! Does it matter how bad you are playing basketball?
i can relate really well to a good pair of shoes. i really like to run, so when I get a new pair of tennis shoes I always get the Asics brand. They are better running shoes with more cushioning support than Nike or Adidas, so i understand why you pick a certain pair of shoes for basketball.
